RTDNA or Radio Television Digital News Association is an organization that spans across the country and is the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to broadcast and digital journalism. At the collegiate level we desire to help students better themselves and be prepared for what is to come after graduation. RTDNA works to harvest ethical journalists and promote honorable standards within the industry. We also like to honor and take interest in those around us who have helped shape the future of the journalism profession.
As an organization we work to prepare students for life after graduation and how to be prepared before they leave college. We bring in various speakers from the media field to give students advice, we set up networking trips, and work with the college to promote ethical journalism. While dedicated to digital journalism as a community and organization, we also spend various community service hours helping those around us. We aid students in becoming the best professional journalist they can be.
This month, the organization will be traveling to New York City for a special networking trip. We have been working with various WVU alumni who have helped us set up tours and tapings within their respected company. We will be visiting Fox Radio and WNYC public radio where we will tour the facilities and get to speak with various workers in the industry. We are also very excited about getting to go to a live taping of Good Morning America with a VIP tour after the show.
We are turning to the Reed alumni and friends for their support to help defray the cost. Please consider making a donation at one of our giving levels to the right of your screen.
Thank you in advance for your support!
