Every August, when I see the new class of on campus M.A. in Communication Studies, I get a bit nostalgic and VERY glad I never have to run that race again. It was equal parts grueling and rewarding and taught us all that “we can do hard things.”
When I think of giving a gift to West Virginia University, I want it to support the program challenged me, thank the people who encouraged me, and provide for the students who currently fill the masters’ classroom. And now, with the establishment of the Dr. Scott Myers Graduate Student Support Fund, I can and invite you to join me in the Red Pen Campaign!
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1,000 in honor of Dr. Myers and his legendary red pen to support the on campus M.A. graduate student experience. The campaign will run through August and I am asking you to help in two ways:
1) Donate!
2) Spread the word to every one you know who would make a gift in honor of Dr. Myers.
