West Virginia University’s Student Nurses' Association will be headed to the annual National Student Nurses’ Association Convention on April 3rd-7th! This year the convention takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the convention, our SNA members will enhance their academic and clinical skills through networking with students, faculty, and nursing leaders from across the country!
This convention will not only help our members by enhancing their academic learning, but it will also prepare them as the future nurses of America. At the convention, the House of Delegates work with state and school chapter leaders (our board members) to make resolutions and elections on new policies we feel would be beneficial to healthcare in America. This year our resolution is implementing a pivot nurse in the emergency room setting to increase triage timeliness in order to improve patient outcomes. This trip helps our students intensify their critical thinking skills, an attribute that is vital to all nurses.
Through the National Student Nurses Association Conference, our nursing students are to make a difference in nursing. This opportunity will build memories, networking, leadership, and educational opportunities for our board members!
