On July 2nd our 13 year old son Ethan, was flown to WVU Medicine Children's after falling over 100 ft in a rappelling accident at Seneca Rocks. I (his mother) was at home 3.5 hrs away from Morgantown. Being so far away, all I could do was pray that this hospital would do everything they could to make sure he was okay. They DID, and so much more. Words can not quantify our experience at WVU Medicine Children's. We are indebted, so this holiday season we want to give back. We want to support the Family Resource Center, so they can continue help families who find themselves at the hospital for an extended amount of time, or far from home as was our experience. When your child has experienced trauma you do not think about the comforts of home, and we want to assist in making sure that families who stay at the hospital continue to receive the unbelievable support and resources that we were provided. Ethan will make a full recovery and that is due to the immediate care that he received from Dr. Lubicky and all of the staff involved with Ethan's care.
