Unite with WVU for #GivingTuesdayNow

On May 5, the West Virginia University family joined together for #GivingTuesdayNow, a global effort to help meet the unprecedented need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

These gifts will provide emergency financial aid and unrestricted scholarship support to help WVU students meet basic needs and continue their studies. Together, we will move WVU forward and make our University stronger than ever.

Giving Challenges

Sprint to the Finish Challenge - COMPLETED!

It’s a sprint to the finish! If 200 gifts are made for #GivingTuesdayNow, it will unlock an additional $25,000 to help students. Let’s Go and let’s finish strong!

Women of WVU Happy Hour Challenge - COMPLETED!

Before you get on your Zoom happy hour, make a gift to help students in need and your gift will help unlock additional funding. If 50 additional gifts are made between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. EST it will unlock an additional $24,000 in support for students. This gift is being sponsored by the Women of WVU Leadership Council.

Mountaineers Unite for #GivingTuesdayNow Challenge - COMPLETED!

If Mountaineers come together and donate $350,000 for #GivingTuesdayNow to support students impacted from the COVID-19 pandemic it will unlock an additional $100,000 to help students in need.

Alan and Lisa Zuccari Lunch Time Challenge - COMPLETED!

If 50 gifts are made during the hours of 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. EST it will unlock an additional $25,000 to help students in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This gift is being sponsored by loyal Mountaineers, Alan and Lisa Zuccari.

Kickoff Challenge - COMPLETED!

The first 250 gifts of $100 or more made on #GivingTuesdayNow will unlock an additional $50,000 to help students face unprecedented needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
