Tomorrow is Mine Summer Camp is a free, week-long residential camp for children aged 10-12 from Boone, Fayette, Lincoln, Logan, Mingo, McDowell, Raleigh, Summers and Wyoming counties. This camp was created for children from southern West Virginia who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a summer camp. Camp is held on the WVU Beckley Campus.
Many children in West Virginia face a number of challenges including living in a state with the 10th highest poverty rate, the highest rate of overdose deaths between the ages of 12 and 25 and the lowest rate of post-high school education in the nation.
This environment may pose a real challenge to success, particularly to the youth in southern West Virginia. Some of these young people live in unstable home environments making it difficult to reach them through traditional intervention programs. The cost of a traditional summer camp is simply out of reach for some.
With your gift today, you are supporting a child who may not be able to attend a summer camp otherwise. Here is how you can make a difference:
A gift of $30 - Provides a t-shirt for a camper.
A gift of $150 - Provides a room for a camper for the week.
A gift of $500 - Provides support for a camper to stay the week of camp.
