Glasses Extravaganza!

August 09, 2017

Hello friends!

Because of you and your support, we have been quite busy here in Morgantown. Earlier this week we held an eclipse glasses packing extravaganza – and with 30,000 eclipse glasses to send to students, campers, and families across the state, it was all hands on deck!

Thank you so much for all you did to make this possible!

We did it!

May 22, 2017

Because of you, we not only reached, but exceeded, our goal of raising $2,000 to bring the Great American Solar Eclipse to West Virginia!

Thank you so much to all who donated, spread the word, and supported the project! You have made a difference for students and campers across the state. We are grateful and humbled by your generosity - and thrilled you could join us in the effort!

Now we can get to work on sending eclipse glasses out to as many students as possible! We have received over 200 requests from teachers for over 12,000 glasses. That's 12,000 WV youth that will be impacted by your support. We can't thank you enough!

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big day!

97% and one day left to go!

May 18, 2017

Wow! We have reached 97% of our goal – and it’s all in thanks to you!

With your support, we will bring the Great American Eclipse to WV youth in all corners of the state by helping them share this historic natural event with their friends and families.  By engaging students and campers in a science experience in their own communities, they will see that science can be a part of their identity. You are helping to spark the next generation of WV STEM leaders!

And there is still time for us to reach 100%! If you haven’t had a chance to make your gift, now’s the time! You can also help by spreading the word – tell your friends and family and share this page on Twitter and Facebook!

But most importantly, thank you so much for your generosity and support! You are making a difference.

P.S. We’ve put together some eclipse resources for you to use! Check them out here: http://planetarium.wvu.edu/eclipse

Only 1 More Week!

May 12, 2017

There are 7 days left in the campaign – and they are going to be critical to reaching our goal!

Thank you so much to everyone who has made a gift and helped spread the word. With your help and support, we are more than halfway to our goal! We are so honored and humbled by your generosity. If you haven’t had a chance to make your gift yet, please consider doing so. We all know a WV student or 4-H’er that will have an opportunity to experience the Great American Solar Eclipse, and you can help make it a solar eclipse they’ll always remember!

P.S. Don’t forget to share the project page with your family and friends!

8,000!

May 08, 2017

Requests are pouring in for eclipse glasses!

If we are able to fill all the current requests, 8,000 children from across the state will have the opportunity to experience the Great American Eclipse alongside their friends and families. With your help, we are “going BIG” for this historic event and we can’t thank you enough!

If you haven't had a chance, please considering making your gift today. And don't forget to share our page with your friends and family!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your support!
