Who we are

The purpose of HESA (pronounced HEE-SUH) is to foster a sense of community among students interested in higher education.  HESA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas on current issues in higher education and provides opportunities for professional and personal development. HESA is the leading student organization for the higher education administration programs at WVU. The organization focuses on professional development, local and national conferences, job searches and networking with fellow students, faculty and higher education program alumni.

Why we need YOUR HELP

Students in the WVU HESA are working to raise funds for members to travel to the 2018 NASPA Conference this year. NSPA is the leading association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs profession.  This year, the NASPA Annual Conference is taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a projected attendance of more than 5,000 student affairs educators, and more than 500 educational sessions, networking events and featured speakers, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Our goal is to send four members of the WVU HESA to the conference.
